Boxer Chapman recovering after emergency surgery for brain bleed

British featherweight boxer Raven Chapman, 32, collapsed during a sparring session in Denmark on July 24 and was rushed to hospital, where she was diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema. She underwent emergency surgery, which successfully stopped the bleeding and helped stabilise the swelling. As of August 5, 2026, Chapman is reported to be recovering, according to her management team Vote Boxing.
