Boxer Chapman undergoes emergency surgery

British boxer Raven Chapman, 32, underwent emergency surgery for a bleed on the brain after collapsing following a sparring session in Denmark on Friday, July 24. She was diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema, and was subsequently placed in a medically induced coma after the procedure successfully stopped the bleeding and reduced swelling. Chapman, who challenged for the WBC featherweight title in 2024, has since been taken off sedatives and is awaiting medically supervised repatriation to a UK hospital, with a GoFundMe page launched to support her.
