Boxing: Prichard Colon Passes Away 11 Years After Injury

Former professional boxer Prichard Colon, who had a 16-0 record before suffering a severe brain injury in a 2015 bout against Terrel Williams, passed away on August 13, 2024. Colon had been left in a vegetative state after spending 221 days in a coma following repeated illegal rabbit punches to the back of his head during the fight. He battled his disability for nearly 11 years before succumbing to his injuries.
