Brendan Allen has stated that Khamzat Chimaev deserves a UFC middleweight title rematch against Sean Strickland, who defeated Chimaev by split decision at UFC 328 to claim the belt, marking Chimaev's first MMA loss (dropping him to 15-1). Allen, who trained with Chimaev during his camp, acknowledged the fight was close based on statistics but admitted potential bias. Allen himself is scheduled to fight Edmen Shahbazyan at UFC Fight Night 278 on June 6 at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.
