Brighton fan, 72, dies after Aston Villa match

A 72-year-old Brighton fan died after falling ill while leaving the Amex Stadium following Brighton's 4-0 win over Aston Villa. The man became unwell near the supporters' club bus in the coach park, and despite prolonged CPR and efforts from multiple emergency services including South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics, St John's Ambulance, and Sussex Police, he could not be saved. Brighton CEO Paul Barber expressed the club's condolences to the supporter's family and friends.
