Brilliant Royal Ascot wins send Bow Echo and Ombudsman to the top of the Cartier standings
Royal Ascot victories for Bow Echo and Ombudsman have elevated both horses to the top of the Cartier Horse of the Year standings alongside True Love. Bow Echo, trained by George Boughey, won the St James's Palace Stakes to back up his 2,000 Guineas success, while Godolphin's Ombudsman stormed to victory in the Prince of Wales's Stakes, becoming the first dual winner of that race in 31 years. Other notable performers include Ten Bob Tony, a 50-1 winner of the Queen Anne Stakes, and Venetian Sun, who won the Commonwealth Cup by a head to lead the Cartier Sprinter standings.
