Britain's Dart out of US Open to 25th seed Bouzková

Harriet Dart, a 30-year-old British qualifier, was eliminated from the US Open second round by Czech 25th seed Marie Bouzková 6-2 6-2 in 1 hour and 17 minutes, playing in 30°C heat at Flushing Meadows. Dart, who admitted to feeling 'under the weather' and suffered a coughing fit after the match, used iced neck scarves and cold-air hoses to cope with the conditions. Her exit followed that of British number one Katie Boulter, who lost 6-1 6-0 to Karolina Muchova at the same second-round stage.
