Britain's Dart wins Guangzhou Open, first WTA title

Britain's Harriet Dart won her first WTA title at the Guangzhou Open in China, defeating 18-year-old Austrian Lilli Tagger 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the final. The 30-year-old from Hampstead entered the tournament as a qualifier and ranked British number five, coming from a set down to claim the victory. Dart had previously saved three match points in her semifinal win over Sun Xinran before sealing the title with an unreturned serve.
