Briton Chapman suffers brain bleed after sparring session

British boxer Raven Chapman, 32, was airlifted to hospital after collapsing following a sparring session in Denmark on 24 July. She was diagnosed with a brain haematoma and cerebral oedema and underwent emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and reduce swelling. Chapman, a former world title challenger who turned professional in 2021, was subsequently placed in a medically induced coma, according to her management company Vote Boxing.
