Brodin out, Eriksson Ek questionable for Wild against Avalanche in Game 1

Minnesota Wild defenseman Jonas Brodin and center Joel Eriksson Ek will both miss Game 1 of the Western Conference Second Round against the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET. Brodin sustained a lower-body injury blocking a shot in Game 5 against the Dallas Stars and also missed Game 6, while Eriksson Ek hurt his right leg sliding into the wall during Game 6. Wild coach John Hynes stated both players will be reevaluated after the first two games, with a break between Games 2 and 3 potentially aiding their recovery.
