England and Durham fast bowler Brydon Carse will face no criminal charges after Derbyshire police dropped their investigation into an alleged assault in Derby city centre. Carse had been arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly during a night out with Durham teammates following a County Championship victory over Derbyshire. The incident had previously led to him being dropped from the England squad, who went on to win their Test series against Pakistan 3-0. The Cricket Regulator is still set to decide on potential disciplinary action.
