Bud Cauley wins the Canadian Open to cap long comeback from 2018 car accident
Bud Cauley won the RBC Canadian Open on Sunday, June 14, 2026, capturing his first PGA Tour title in his 239th tour start with a closing 5-under 65 to finish at 17-under 263 at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley. The 36-year-old took the lead with a birdie chip hole-out from 93 feet on the par-4 12th, overtaking overnight leader Jackson Suber. The victory completes a remarkable comeback for Cauley, who in 2018 suffered six broken ribs, a collapsed right lung, and a fractured left leg in a car accident at the Memorial Tournament.
