Burgin hopes home crowd will inspire more Diamond League success

Halifax's Max Burgin will face Kenya's Emmanuel Wanyonyi in an 800m showdown at the Novuna London Athletics Meet on Saturday, July 18, part of the Wanda Diamond League Series. The pair previously met in London in 2025, where Olympic champion Wanyonyi won in a meeting record of 1:42.00, with Burgin finishing third. Burgin will be hoping a home crowd can inspire an improved performance this time around.
