Buss family intends to sell Lakers share, but Jeanie Buss is not on board
The Buss family intends to sell their remaining shares in the Los Angeles Lakers, a move that would end nearly 50 years of family ownership of the franchise. Jeanie Buss, who has served as the team's governor since her father Jerry Buss died in 2013, is reportedly not in agreement with the sale. The decision follows majority owner Mark Walter's agreement to sell his stake to Bob Iger and Josh Kushner in a deal valuing the Lakers at $12.5 billion.
