Caddie Austin Gaugert finds new bag after controversy at PGA Championship
Caddie Austin Gaugert, who parted ways with Garrick Higgo following a controversial late tee-time incident at the PGA Championship that cost Higgo a two-stroke penalty and led to a missed cut, has found a new bag at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Gaugert caddied for Dylan Wu at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, where Wu shot an even-par 70 in the first round. Gaugert had previously accepted blame via social media for the costly mishap at Aronimink Golf Club, where Higgo was penalized and ultimately missed the 36-hole cut by one stroke.
