Cal Crutchlow calls for MotoGP weather protocol after sweltering Czech GP
Cal Crutchlow has called for MotoGP to introduce a weather protocol following the Czech Grand Prix at Brno Autodrom, which he described as one of the hottest races of his career. Riders faced extreme conditions during the weekend, with air temperatures exceeding 30°C and track temperatures surpassing 55°C, prompting the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute to issue heatwave warnings. Crutchlow, who was standing in for injured Johann Zarco, pointed to other sporting championships that already have heat hazard measures in place as a model for MotoGP to follow.
