Cal Heads South For NCAA Championship Opener

The No. 22 California women's tennis team (12-7) opens the NCAA Championship on Friday, May 1, facing No. 38 Utah (15-9) at 11 a.m. PT at Marks Tennis Stadium in Los Angeles as part of the USC Regional. The winner will advance to a second-round match on Saturday for a spot in the NCAA Super Regional. Cal's last action was at the ACC Championship, where they defeated Florida State 4-2 on April 16 before losing to NC State in the quarterfinals.
