Cali 2026 GP: Paralympic stars shine as curtain falls on Grand Prix season

Costa Rica's three-time Paralympic champion Sherman Guity closed out the 2026 World Para Athletics Grand Prix season in Cali, Colombia, by completing a sprint double, winning the men's 100m T64 in 10.64 seconds — just 0.03 outside the world record he had equalled in July. The four-day meet at the Estadio Internacional de Atletismo Pedro Grajales also featured standout performances from Colombia's Karen Palomeque Moreno, Ecuador's Kiara Rodriguez, and Argentina's Brian Lionel Impellizzeri. A total of 327 athletes from 26 nations competed, bringing the curtain down on the 13th season of the World Para Athletics Grand Prix.
