Cam Skattebo takes major step in comeback, returning to Giants after devastating ankle injury

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo returned to the practice field for the first time since suffering a severe ankle injury in October 2025 against the Philadelphia Eagles, which included an open dislocation, a tibia fracture, and significant ligament damage requiring emergency surgery. Skattebo participated in portions of 11-on-11 drills during minicamp, less than eight months after the injury ended his rookie season. Before getting hurt, Skattebo had rushed for 410 yards and five touchdowns while adding 207 receiving yards and two scores across eight games.
