Campbell retires from NHL after 8 seasons

Jack Campbell, 34, announced his retirement from professional hockey on Sunday after eight NHL seasons, most recently with the Edmonton Oilers in 2023-24. He last appeared in five NHL games, posting a 1-4-0 record with a 4.50 goals-against average before being placed on waivers and later assigned to the AHL. Campbell, who became an NHL All-Star in 2021-22 and signed a five-year, $25 million deal with Edmonton in 2022, announced he will now pursue a career as an identity and performance coach.
