Canada captain Macklin Celebrini named ‘Player of the Game’ in 6-0 win
Canada's 19-year-old captain Macklin Celebrini was named Player of the Game after scoring two goals and adding one assist in a 6-0 victory over Italy at the 2026 IIHF Men's World Championship in Fribourg, Switzerland on May 16. The result improved Canada's record to 2-0 in Group B play. Celebrini opened scoring with a one-timer in the first period off a feed from Porter Martone, then struck again early in the second period.
