Canadiens' Jakub Dobes Continuing To Make NHL History

Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jakub Dobes stopped 25 of 27 shots with a .926 save percentage as the Canadiens defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 6-2 in Game 1 on May 22, 2026. The 24-year-old rookie has now become just the third goalie in NHL history to win seven of his first nine road decisions in a single post-season. The only other goalies to achieve this feat were Ron Hextall with the Philadelphia Flyers in 1987 and Jordan Binnington with the St. Louis Blues in 2019.
