Canadiens teammates Caufield, Suzuki surprise each other with NHL awards
Montreal Canadiens forwards Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki were surprised by each other with NHL award presentations in their locker room on May 11, the day before Game 4 of their Eastern Conference Second Round series against Buffalo. Caufield won the Lady Byng Trophy after scoring 51 goals β the most by a Canadiens player since Stephane Richer in 1989-90 β finishing second in the NHL behind Nathan MacKinnon's 53. Suzuki, the team captain, was awarded the Frank J. Selke Trophy, with both players unaware of the ceremony beforehand.
