Canadiens win Game 5, push Lightning to brink in Eastern 1st Round

The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-2 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference First Round at Benchmark International Arena on Wednesday, taking a 3-2 series lead. Alexandre Texier scored the go-ahead goal at 1:06 of the third period, while Brendan Gallagher (in his series debut after being a healthy scratch) and Kirby Dach also scored for Montreal. Goaltender Jakub Dobes made 38 saves, and Game 6 is scheduled for Friday in Montreal.
