Canelo Alvarez’s Return Delayed As Christian Mbilli Title Fight Moves To October

Canelo Alvarez's WBC super middleweight title fight against unbeaten champion Christian Mbilli has been postponed and rescheduled for late October in Riyadh. The bout was originally set earlier but pushed back, delaying Canelo's attempt to reclaim the WBC belt he lost following his unanimous decision defeat to Terence Crawford in September 2025. Mbilli, elevated from interim titleholder to full WBC champion, will be making his biggest career defense against the former undisputed 168-pound king.
