Canelo vs Mbilli gets new official date in October in Riyadh

Canelo Alvarez (63-3-2) will face unbeaten super middleweight champion Christin Mbilli (29-0-1) on October 31 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, after the bout was originally scheduled for September 12 before being postponed indefinitely in June. Alvarez, 36, is returning from elbow surgery and a decision loss to Terence Crawford in September 2025, his first defeat since May 2022. Mbilli, fighting out of Montreal, holds the full WBC super middleweight title after being elevated to champion in January following a split draw against Lester Martinez.
