Canes look to begin push to another Cup as NHL draft begins tonight

The Carolina Hurricanes, fresh off a Stanley Cup victory, enter the 2026 NHL Draft holding the No. 31 overall pick in the first round, along with three other picks in the fourth and sixth rounds. The draft begins Friday at 7 p.m. on ESPN, with rounds two through seven held Saturday on NHL Network. General Manager Eric Tulsky has been active in trading draft picks, including a first-rounder for defenseman K'Andre Miller, and Carolina had traded out of the first round in each of the last two drafts.
