Captains proud of Shropshire tennis teams efforts at LTA Summer County Cup

Shropshire's men's tennis team were relegated from Group 4 of the 2026 LTA Summer County Cup despite winning two of their five fixtures at Cromer Lawn Tennis & Racquet Club, finishing level on four points with Norfolk and Staffordshire. The team, which had earned back-to-back promotions in the previous two years to reach the highest level the county has ever competed at in the County Cup, were eliminated by the narrowest of margins. Captain Alex Parry described it as the tightest league finish he had encountered, noting that one additional match win would have saved them from relegation.
