Carlos Alcaraz confirms he will miss Wimbledon 2026 with continued wrist injury: "I'm still not ready to compete"
Carlos Alcaraz, the seven-time Grand Slam champion, has confirmed he will miss both the French Open and Wimbledon 2026 due to a wrist injury that has kept him sidelined since the Barcelona Open on 14 April. The Spanish player announced on 19 May via social media that he is withdrawing from the grass-court swing, including Queen's Club and Wimbledon (29 June–12 July), marking the first time he has missed consecutive Grand Slams since the COVID-19-disrupted 2020 season. Alcaraz, a two-time Wimbledon champion, stated his recovery is progressing well but that he is not yet ready to compete.
