Carlos Sainz signs new multi-year Williams F1 contract: ‘I’m thrilled’

Carlos Sainz, 31, has signed a new multi-year contract with Williams F1, the team announced on Wednesday. Sainz, who joined Williams in 2025 after leaving Ferrari and scored two podium finishes last year, has had a difficult current season with just six points and a best finish of ninth place. The deal follows teammate Alex Albon's contract extension announced on Tuesday, keeping Williams' driver line-up unchanged for 2027.
