Carragher calls for multi-year Man City penalty

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has called for Manchester City to receive a multi-year punishment spanning three to five years following an independent commission finding the club guilty of breaking Premier League financial rules. The commission found City inflated revenue by more than £830 million over nine seasons between 2009-10 and 2017-18, a verdict City have appealed against. Speaking on The Overlap Fan Debate with Sky Bet, Carragher, 48, argued that a single-season points deduction would be insufficient given the prolonged nature of the alleged misconduct.
