Carrick: 'Hard truths' have been shared amid Man United slump

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has acknowledged that 'hard truths' have been exchanged between himself, the players, and club hierarchy during an eight-game winless run. United's only league win this season came in a 5-2 victory over Ipswich on August 30, and recent results include a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth and a 4-1 Champions League loss to Como. Despite mounting pressure, the 45-year-old Carrick was told by senior figures he would remain in charge, with the team facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
