Carrick keeps Fernandes as captain and says he needs no assurances on United future

Michael Carrick has confirmed that Bruno Fernandes will retain the Manchester United captaincy despite being dropped as an unused substitute for the Bournemouth defeat, following a public criticism of tactics after the Como loss. Harry Maguire wore the armband against Bournemouth but will not keep it for Saturday's match at Chelsea. Carrick also stated he is not surprised to have kept his position as head coach and said there is 'no decision to be made' regarding Fernandes's captaincy.
