Carrick tells players ‘hard truth’ in attempt to turn Manchester United’s season around

Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick has revealed he has had difficult 'hard truth' conversations with both the club hierarchy and his players amid a turbulent start to the season. United have gone eight games without a win and sit 16th in the league table, just one point above the relegation zone. Carrick described the conversations as 'not always rosy' while acknowledging that players are 'hurting' following the poor run of form.
