Carter Hart on ‘no means no’ chants in Carolina during Stanley Cup Final: ‘It’s just noise’
Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart addressed the 'no means no' chants directed at him by Carolina Hurricanes fans during the Stanley Cup Final, calling them 'just noise' when speaking publicly for the first time since the series began. The chants occurred in all three Hurricanes home games at Lenovo Center, including at least twice during Carolina's 4-2 Game 5 win on Thursday. Hart was one of five players acquitted of sexual assault charges by the Ontario Superior Court on July 24, 2025, though the NHL had previously suspended all five players for what it described as 'deeply troubling and unacceptable' behavior.
