Catterall Crowned New WBA Welterweight Champion

Britain's Jack 'El Gato' Catterall defeated Uzbekistan's Giyasov over twelve rounds to claim the WBA Welterweight (147-pound) Championship, with the fight taking place against the backdrop of the Pyramids of Egypt. Catterall, a southpaw from Chorley, dominated from the fourth round onwards using sharp lateral movement, a piercing right jab, and body shots to dismantle his opponent's game plan. The judges returned unanimous scorecards of 119-108, 116-111, and 118-109 in Catterall's favour.
