Cavaliers land Peyton Watson in reported 5-team trade

The Cleveland Cavaliers have acquired restricted free agent Peyton Watson from the Denver Nuggets in a reported five-team sign-and-trade deal, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The deal also sends Max Strus to the LA Clippers and future draft picks to the Nuggets, while later expanding to include the Charlotte Hornets and Washington Wizards swapping Dennis Schröder and Tre Mann. Watson, who broke out this past season averaging 14.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 54 games, joins Cleveland alongside Cam Whitmore, acquired from Washington in a separate component of the deal.
