Celtics sign Payton Pritchard to two-year contract extension
The Boston Celtics have signed 28-year-old guard Payton Pritchard to a two-year contract extension worth $44.2 million, extending his deal through the 2029-30 season, which includes a mutual option for the final year. Pritchard, originally drafted 26th overall in 2020 out of Oregon, posted career highs across multiple statistical categories in 2025-26, averaging 17.0 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game. The extension follows his 2025 Kia Sixth Man of the Year award and his contributions to the Celtics' 2024 championship run.
