Champion Coco Gauff out of French Open but Cerúndolo marches on

Defending champion Coco Gauff was eliminated from the French Open in a third-round upset, losing 4-6, 7-6 (1), 6-4 to No. 28 seed Anastasia Potapova. Gauff, the fourth seed, had reached at least the quarter-finals at Roland Garros in each of the last five editions but squandered a break lead in the final set, losing five of the last six games.
