
Champion point-to-point and Cheltenham Festival-winning rider Maxine O'Sullivan retires from the saddle after winner
Irish jockey Maxine O'Sullivan retired on Thursday after winning on Dream On Baby at Tramore, ending a career in which she became a seven-time champion point-to-point rider. Over her career she rode 80 point-to-point winners, 42 jump winners, and seven Flat winners, with her most notable success being a 66-1 shock victory in the 2020 Cheltenham Festival Foxhunter Chase aboard It Came To Pass. O'Sullivan, whose father Eugene trained 15 of her winners, had her first ride in July 2008 and her first winner at Downpatrick in June 2013.
