Chantilly review: Amy Murphy lands winner on French Derby day

On Prix du Jockey Club day at Chantilly (Sunday, May 31, 2026), Francis-Henri Graffard's six-year-old Goliath (13/8) won the Group 2 Grand Prix de Chantilly over 12 furlongs by two lengths, ridden by Christophe Soumillon. The favourite Cualificar (11/8), trained by Andre Fabre and ridden by William Buick, could only finish third, with Oracle (15/2) taking second place. Goliath's previous top-level victories include the 2024 King George at Ascot and the Grosser Preis von Baden.
