Chargers' Omarion Hampton: OC Mike McDaniel told me I remind him of Hall of Famer Terrell Davis
Los Angeles Chargers running back Omarion Hampton revealed at mandatory minicamp on Wednesday that new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel compared him to Hall of Fame running back Terrell Davis. Hampton, the No. 22 overall pick in the 2025 draft, had a promising rookie season cut short by a fractured ankle in Week 5, but still finished with 545 rushing yards, 192 receiving yards, and five touchdowns in nine games. Davis, a former Denver Broncos star inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017, rushed for 6,413 yards and 56 touchdowns over his first four seasons, including a 2,000-yard campaign.
