The Los Angeles Chargers have agreed to a three-year, $75.6 million contract extension with safety Derwin James, including $57.1 million guaranteed, as reported by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Tuesday. The deal gives James an average annual salary of $25.2 million, making him the highest-paid safety in the NFL, surpassing the Baltimore Ravens' Kyle Hamilton at $25.1 million per year.
