Charity U-turn on banned choir at London Marathon
Disability charity Scope initially banned the Singing Striders choir from performing at the London Marathon after its founder Janet Murray was deemed unwelcome due to her gender-critical views. The choir had performed at the event on behalf of Scope for the past two years and had already been booked for Sunday's race. Scope reversed its decision at the last minute, allowing the choir to attend the London Marathon, which is expected to see more than 59,000 participants complete the 26.2-mile course.
