Charlie Woods scuffles at Junior PGA, hovering near cut line

Charlie Woods, the 17-year-old son of Tiger Woods, shot a 3-over-par 75 in the first round of the Junior PGA Championships on Tuesday in Frisco, Texas, leaving him tied for 53rd place and just above the cut line. His round included three birdies, four bogeys, and a double bogey, placing him seven strokes behind first-round leader Kailer Stone, who carded a 68. Woods is looking to improve on his tie for ninth at the same event last year, but recently also failed to advance at the U.S. Junior Amateur after falling short in a playoff at Saucon Valley Country Club.
