Chelsea complete signing of Pep Chavarría

Chelsea have completed the signing of Spanish left-back Pep Chavarría from Rayo Vallecano on a five-year deal, making him the club's ninth new first-team addition this summer. The 28-year-old spent four years at Rayo Vallecano, appearing in 44 games across all competitions last season as the club reached the Conference League final and finished eighth in LaLiga. Chavarría will provide competition at left-back following Marc Cucurella's departure to Real Madrid, as Chelsea shift their transfer policy toward adding more experienced players.
