Chelsea sign goalkeeper Martínez from Villa

Chelsea have signed Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez from Aston Villa on a three-year deal. The 33-year-old, who won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina and the Europa League with Villa last season, had a proposed move to Juventus fall through earlier in August before completing his switch to Stamford Bridge. Martínez is expected to be Chelsea's first-choice goalkeeper, with Villa having already signed Japan international Zion Suzuki as his replacement.
