Chelsea's Mudryk cleared to play after doping ban

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk has been cleared to return to playing immediately after the English Football Association and the World Anti-Doping Agency resolved his appeal against a four-year doping ban. Mudryk was originally suspended in 2024 after a low concentration of meldonium was detected in his sample, but changes to WADA procedures mean that the same test result today would not result in charges being brought. The FA confirmed on Friday that Mudryk may return to competition with immediate effect, effectively ending his ban after approximately two years.
