Chiefs WR Rashee Rice released from jail after 30-day stint for car crash probation violation

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice, 26, was released from a Dallas County jail on Tuesday after serving a 30-day sentence for violating probation terms related to a multi-injury car crash on a Texas highway. He had been booked on May 19 after testing positive for THC, and also underwent knee surgery during his incarceration to address inflammation from debris in his right knee. Chiefs coach Andy Reid expects Rice to report to training camp on time at the end of July, despite missing all voluntary offseason workouts and mandatory minicamp.
