Chris Froome is back! British cycling legend’s return to bike racing confirmed... sort of

Chris Froome, the 41-year-old seven-time Grand Tour winner, will participate in the Together Crossing for the Pelagos, a 225km water-bike charity relay from Viareggio, Italy to Monaco on 19-20 June 2026. Froome is one of 32 athletes in the event, which also includes former WorldTour riders Jakob Fuglsang and Filippo Pozzato. The Briton remains without a professional road team for 2026 after his contract with Israel-Premier Tech was not renewed, and he has yet to officially announce his retirement.
